“Get Father on the Phone” es una canción atípica completamente perturbadora con un videoclip donde asistimos a cambios de pañales, leche materna, alaridos, y un incesante sinsentido de insinuaciones hacia bandas como Fantomâs, Fu Manchu, Melvins, Faith No More o Amphetamine Reptile.
La música es cambiante, enérgica, desgarradora y sin concesiones, Johannes Gammelby, a quién vamos a conocer desde ya como The Malpractice, resuena, balbucea y grita desde el punto de vista de un bebé que se apodera de su madre, a quien empuja, superando incluso a su propio padre.

El videoclip se hizo realidad a través de una reunión a distancia entre almas afines, a la vez que forasteras. Finalmente, hubo cien por cien entendimiento entre el artista y la directora. Es el complemento disonante perfecto para una canción como “Get Father on the Phone” (Crunchy Frog, 2021), ya que está concebida e interpretada desde un punto de vista humorístico y retorcido. El vídeo es obra de la estadounidense Leah Shore.
The Malpractice:
Como apuntábamos arriba, tras la sombra de The Malpractice está el cantante y guitarrista danés Johannes Gammelby (de bandas como Beta Satan o I Am Bones). Él confiesa arrastrarse, cojear, tambalearse, gritar y gritar ante lo absurdo y la injusticia del cosmos. Siempre envuelto en una manta sónica andrajosa de pura anfetamina punk, lodo y grandiosos himnos tentados por el abismo.
Un dogma esencial The Malpractice a la hora de componer canciones es evitar la estructura clásica de verso-coro-verso. Por lo contrario, sus temas comienzan en un lugar y terminan en otro, eliminando la comodidad que generalmente vienen dadas por las estructuras de las canciones más al uso.

‘Get Father on the Phone’ is an utterly disturbing, oedipal song featuring diaper changes, mother’s milk, screaming, and a ceaseless torrent of unreasonable demands Fantomâs, Fu Manchu, Melvins, Faith No More, and Amphetamine Reptile.
Set to uncompromisingly and harrowing, heavy music, Johannes Gammelby AKA The Malpractice wheezes and splutters and screams from the point of view of a commandeering baby, pushing its mother around and out-manoeuvring the father.
The video:
The video came to fruition through a digital meeting of kindred, outsider spirits – a 1:1 understanding between songwriter and director. It is the perfect dissonant complement to the song – it is the song as rendered through the humorous and warped mind of US-based director Leah Shore.
The Malpractice:
Behind The Malpractice is Johannes Gammelby (Beta Satan, I Am Bones). Dragging, limping, staggering, screaming and yelling at the absurdity and unfairness of cosmos, wrapped in a ragged sonic blanket of amphetamine reptile punk, sludge and grand, barking hymns for the tempting abyss.
An essential dogma for the songwriting in The Malpractice is to avoid the classic verse-chorus-verse structure. Instead, the songs start off at one place and end at another, eliminating the comfort that usually comes with more familiar song structures.
